Every project, every stage, on one screen.
Seventeen stages from lead to closed, each with the time it should take. A job that has waited too long is flagged, with the reason it is stuck and who moves it on — so a morning look tells you where to push.

Billing, done right
Milestone billing, with the 70:30 split built in.
Agree the milestones once — 30% on order, 40% on installation, 30% on commissioning, or whatever you sell on. When the project reaches a stage, its invoice is raised as a draft, with GST split 70% goods at 5% and 30% services at 18%.
- Milestone invoices raised from the project's stage
- GST on advances, adjusted on the final bill
- e-Invoice and e-way bill from the invoice

| Rooftop solar plant, 5 kW — goods (70%) | ₹2,10,000.00 | 5% · ₹10,500.00 |

And the rest of the job
Paperwork, material, serials and service.
The things that slow an installer down — missing documents, untracked material, warranty look-ups — each have their place.
Document checklists
Each stage knows the papers it needs — electricity bill, ownership proof, SLD, geo-tagged photos, ALMM and DCR certificates. AI reads what is uploaded and flags what is missing or does not match.
Subsidy, before it is at risk
A file is checked before it is submitted, so a ₹78,000 subsidy is not lost to a mismatched name or a missing certificate. You submit on the portal; Ordwell tracks it to the money.
Material to site, and back
Issue panels, inverters and structure to a project's site, return what was not used, and see what each job really consumed.
Serial numbers and warranty
Every panel and inverter serial is recorded against the project and customer, so a warranty claim takes seconds to look up.
AMC and service
Maintenance contracts with their visit schedule, and service tickets raised against the installation they belong to.
Variation orders
A change to the system mid-job is priced, approved by the customer and billed — not argued over at handover.
Profit by project
What each job was billed, what its material, labour and other expenses cost, and what it actually made.
The crew on the phone
Installers see today's jobs, upload geo-tagged photos and mark stages done from site.
FAQ
Questions installers ask
How do I bill a solar EPC contract under the 70:30 rule?
When a rooftop plant is supplied with its installation as one contract, GST treats 70% of the value as goods at 5% and 30% as services at 18% — 8.9% overall. In Ordwell you mark the quotation as an EPC contract and every invoice from it, including each milestone, is split into the two rows automatically.
Can Ordwell track PM Surya Ghar subsidy applications?
Yes. Every project carries its subsidy stage, the documents the scheme asks for, and a check of the file before it is submitted. Ordwell does not submit on the national portal for you — a person does that — but it tracks the application through to the subsidy reaching the customer.
Does it handle different DISCOMs?
Yes. Each project is linked to its DISCOM, and the time each stage should take can be set per DISCOM, so a project waiting longer than usual for feasibility or inspection is flagged.
Can I bill a project in milestones?
Yes. A project carries its milestone plan — for example 30% on order, 40% on installation, 30% on commissioning — and a draft invoice is raised when the project reaches each stage.
Are invoices linked to projects?
Yes. Each project carries its billing plan, and when the project reaches a milestone's stage Ordwell drafts that invoice against the project. You check it and post it; nothing goes out on its own. Every invoice and payment then shows on the project, in its billing and in its profit, and the project cannot be closed while a milestone is still unbilled — the project says which ones are left and when each will be drafted.
What is "capital locked"?
The money tied up in projects you have not collected yet — billed but unpaid, and work done but not yet billed — shown by stage. It tells an owner where cash is stuck.
Is Ordwell a design tool for solar plants?
No. Ordwell runs the business side — projects, billing, stock, collections and paperwork. Use your usual tool for system design and shading studies.
